5 Features I'd Like to See Added to No Man's Sky

In the age of patches and DLC, it is no longer unreasonable to wish for new features to be added, mid-life, to current video game releases.  Amidst a ton of talk and debate, No Man's Sky is at the forefront of most people's brains right now when thinking about the potential of what a game could become int he future.  Below are the top 5 features I would like to see added to No Man's Sky:

1.  Warp...Beacons?  Pods?  Somethings?

You just found a plane tripe with Aluminum, which is cool because you don't see it often.  10 systems later, you find a blueprint that needs a metric shit-ton of aluminum to craft.  Wouldn't it be nice if you could warp back to that specific system?  Better yet, that planet?  As it stands now, you would need a suped-up hyperdrive and about 5 jumps to get back to that planet, stopping along the way to craft more fuel for your ship.  What I'm suggesting is a craftable item that would allow you to warp to a specific location.  Perhaps you could install a warp beacon on said planet so, if in the future you need some aluminum, you could more efficiently backtrack.  This would make me feel a better connection with all of my prior discoveries while also saving me hours of playing.

2.  Ship Crafting

I want to build my own X-Wing.  Always have.  This seems like a logical step for Hello Games to take.  Adding ship building and modification would align with the style of a game that is already craft and resource heavy.  Don't like the way your ship looks?  Swap out your dainty wings for some two tiered ionic steel Storm Wings with thrust cannons.  What does that mean?!?  I have no idea...but I still want to do it.  Adding ship crafting workbenches to space stations seems like a fun way to add life to this game.

3.  Filtered Scanning

Are you just looking to learn new alien words or are you looking for a specific element?  A way to filter your scanner on planets would be nice to limit field results.  Every time I scan on a planet, I am overwhelmed by the amount of icons that pop up in my field of vision.  This would allow for much more focused gameplay and would save on unnecessarily long out of ship expeditions.  Which also brings us to....

4.  Waypoint to Non-Discovered Species

If I had a dollar for every time I spent 3 hours tracking down the last god damned undiscovered species on a planet, I'd have at least 5 dollars.  I love discovering the new species and I love completing the sets.  It is arguably my favorite gameplay element in NMS.  Right now this activity is very clunky and if you could specifically set your visor to scan for new animals, or perhaps have a blueprint that allows you to find the missing creatures more quickly, it would make looking for species much more enjoyable.

5.  Surface Vehicles

This one is a long shot.  I would love to see a Mass Effect 1 style land rover I could use to zip around planets.  Maybe it could be included with bigger ships?  I feel by flying around a planet's surface, I am missing a lot of the in-between areas that could be neat to explore.  I'd like a car, please.  Is that too much to ask?

So, yeah.  Sean Murray if you could get on these changes, that'd be great.
